WOMEN'S HEALTH & OBSTETRICS: Infant & Child Safety & CPR
About the Class
The Infant and Child Safety and CPR Class is a three-hour course designed for parents and other caregivers of young children. During this class participants will learn how to prevent many common accidents to children, to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a baby or small child, and to assist a baby or child who is choking.The American Heart Association’s recommended CPR techniques will be taught by certified CPR instructors, although completion of this course will not lead to formal certification in CPR. Each participant will have a hands-on opportunity to practice the CPR skills on child-size manikins.
The Infant and Child Safety and CPR Class will be offered several times each calendar year. Classes are scheduled at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
Cost
There is a class fee of $25 per two adults, and $10 for each additional adult, payable at the time of the class.
